Kathmandu, July 22 (RSS): Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun attended a reception organised on the occasion of the National Day of Egypt here today. The special ceremony was hosted by Egypt’s Ambassador to Nepal, Iman Mostafa, at her residence in Lalitpur on the National Day of Egypt and 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Nepal and Egypt.
Present on the occasion were the chiefs of constitutional bodies, Chief of Army Staff, Purna Chandra Thapa, heads of diplomatic missions in Nepal, various political leaders, as well as high-ranking officials of the government of Nepal among others.
An exhibition themed ‘Egypt and Nepal: two crossroads of civilisation’ was also held on the occasion.
