Case filed against corrupt VC of BPKIHS
Kathmandu, 16 July: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed charge sheet against eight persons including former Vice-Chancellor of BP Koirala Institute of Health Science Balbhadra Prasad Das at the Special Court.
The CIAA filed the charge sheet against them on the charge of approving the tender announced by violating purchase process. The anti-graft body claimed the ex -Vice-Chancellor Das’s involvement in corruption of Rs 40.898 million, while Registrar Tul Bahadur Shrestha in corruption of Rs 5.677 million, and Hospital Director Arbindra Kumar Sinha in corruption of Rs 37.530 million.
The CIAA has also filed charge sheet against Accountant Chief Dinesh Raj Dahal, Deputy Manager Amit Shreevastav, Chetan Agrawal of Biomed International Pvt Ltd, and medical equipment supplier Umesh Agrawal
