Kathmandu, 4 July: Nine children have been rescued from a children’s home which was allegedly running against meeting the set criteria. Central Child Welfare Board rescued four boys and five girls from the Saudol Women Society located at Changunarayan municipality-9 in Bhaktapur district.
The Board rescued the children after the children’s home was found keeping the children against ‘Operation and Management of Residential Child Care Homes Criteria-2069’.
According to the Board Spokesperson, the Board, in coordination and collaboration of Social Welfare Council, local police, Children Search Coordination Centre, representatives of Changunarayan municipality and different organisations, rescued the children. The children are between 4-14 years.
