
Kathmandu, September 2: Global IME Bank Limited has proposed distributing a 10 percent dividend to its shareholders from the distributable profit of the last fiscal year, 2082/83. The proposed dividend comprises a 6 percent cash dividend, including tax, and a 4 percent bonus share dividend.
The bank’s Board of Directors, at a meeting held today, made the proposal. The proposed dividend will be distributed to shareholders after it is approved by Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsed by the bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.
Global IME Bank, which has long been receiving recognition in various national and international categories for its modern technology and excellent customer service, has won the ‘Bank of the Year 2014’ and ‘Best Internet Bank 2016’ awards, as well as the title of ‘Best Bank Nepal’ consecutively in 2024, 2025 and 2026. The bank has also received prestigious awards including the Euromoney Awards for Excellence in 2022, 2024 and 2025, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024, and Best Employer.
Global IME Bank is the first private-sector commercial bank in Nepal to expand its branch network to all 77 districts of the country. The bank currently provides services to customers through more than 1,000 service points, including 341 branch offices, 366 ATMs, 147 branchless banking service centres, 69 extension and revenue collection counters, and three overseas representative offices.
In addition, the bank has been making a significant contribution to the national economy by bringing remittances into Nepal through formal channels from various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and India.
