Kathmandu, Aug 25: The 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 opens at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu today, Tuesday. The event is being organized as a special Golden Jubilee edition to mark the 50th anniversary of the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA).
Running from August 25 to August 30, the auto show will feature Nepali products alongside advanced vehicle technologies, electric and hybrid vehicles, and robots as major attractions.
NADA President Surendra Kumar Upreti said the automobile sector has become an important part of Nepal’s economic and industrial development over the association’s 50-year history. He said this year’s show would go beyond displaying vehicles and reflect the transformation and prospects of Nepal’s automobile industry.
According to Auto Show Committee Chairman Anup Kumar Baral, the Golden Jubilee edition will cover around 300,000 square feet and feature more than 200 large and small stalls.
The exhibition will include 23 passenger-vehicle brands, 17 light-commercial-vehicle brands, 30 two-wheeler brands, and 10 financial and insurance companies. Another 70 stalls have been allocated for auto parts, tyres and batteries.
Nepali products have been given special priority this year. The “Made in Nepal and Make for Nepal” pavilion will showcase products manufactured or assembled domestically. Around eight Nepali manufacturers will participate, displaying electric motorcycles, automotive batteries, lubricants, helmets and other products.
Around 63,000 electric vehicles have entered Nepal so far, while nearly 2,000 charging stations are now operating across the country through collaboration between the private sector and the Nepal Electricity Authority. NADA says EV adoption is outpacing charging infrastructure growth. The show will bring vehicle, charging technology and financial service companies together to discuss the sector’s development.
Electric and hybrid vehicles across different price ranges and categories will be displayed. Brands including BYD, Leapmotor, Geely, MG and Wuling will showcase EVs. Revolt will participate in the two-wheeler segment, along with Yatri electric motorcycles designed and assembled in Nepal.
GI Charger will serve as the official charging partner. Exicom, ZEVpoint and Aircharge will showcase AC and DC charging systems.
Advanced robots will be another major attraction. NADA said GI humanoid robots and Go2 quadruped robots will be displayed, giving visitors a glimpse into developments in automobile and future transportation technology.
NADA said the combination of Nepali products and emerging technologies under one roof will make this year’s show particularly attractive to automobile enthusiasts and technology lovers.
HP Lubricants is the title sponsor of this year’s NADA Auto Show. Visitors can book tickets in advance through the Khalti app, with up to 50 percent cashback available during a specified period.
For visitors’ convenience, parking will be available at the Nepal Police Club and National Trading premises. Shuttle bus services will operate between the parking areas and the exhibition venue.
