Nawalparasi, March 28: Three people have died in a road accident at Daunne in Nawalparasi. According to DSP Bir Datt Pant, the information officer at the District Police Office, only one of the deceased has been identified so far. The identified victim is a 25-year-old Govin Budha from Rolpa. The identities of the other two victims are yet to be confirmed. All three deceased are males.
Fifteen people were injured in the accident. The crash occurred around 1 am last night at Ghyukhola, Bardaghat Municipality, Ward 4, when three vehicles collided. A truck with registration number Na 7 Kha 9398 and a bus with registration number Lu 2 Kha 2351, both heading toward Butwal, hit a pickup van with registration number Na 5 Kha 2275 that was travelling in the same direction.
According to DSP Pant, the bus and truck that struck the pickup fell about 200 meters down the road after the collision.
