Foreign Secretary Lamsal leaving for New Delhi today

Kathmandu, July 10: Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal is going to India today. Lamsal is going to lead the Nepali delegation to participate in the ‘retreat’ of foreign ministers of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in New Delhi on July 11 and 12.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there will be a discussion on strengthening the issues of regional interest, cooperation and partnership within the format of BIMSTEC. Foreign ministers and delegations of the BIMSTEC countries participating in the retreat will have a joint courtesy meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Secretary Lamsal will return home on Saturday, July 13.
