
Kathmandu, July 6: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party, which is for restoring a Hindu kingdom and against the present federal structure, has decided to launch its organization expansion campaign and launch agitation together.
A gathering of the Party’s senior leaders and local level leaders from the Kathmandu Valley held on Friday, July 5, at the Party headquarters in Dhumbaharai, took such a decision.
The gathering also decided to expand the party organization at the municipality and ward levels.
RPP’s former chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana urged the party workers to strengthen the party organization in the Kathmandu Valley.
Dr Prakashchandra Lohani, chairman, RPP’s Directorial Committee, asked the party workers for seriously monitor the act of the constitution amendment by big parties.
Lohani said that in the name of amendment to the constitution, the big parties have planned to remove the existence of small parties, and the RPP should remain alert on the design of the big parties, Lohani said.
The party’s general secretary Dr Dhawal Shumsher Rana said that the party may support the government only when the main agendas of the party, constitutional monarchy and Hindu nation, are achieved.
“The party should not join the government without guaranteeing the restoration of a Hindu kingdom”, Rana said.
Bikram Bahadur Thapa, chairman, Bagmati Province Committee of the Party, said that there left no other alternatives except for strengthening the party organization.
