National flag carrier observes its 66th anniversary

Kathmandu, July 1:The Nepal Airlines Corporation, the country’s national flag carrier, observed its 66th anniversary today by organizing different programs.

The anniversary program was started by performing a special pooja of the Akash Bhairab (God of the Sky).

On the occasion, Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, Hit Bahadur Tamang, asked all the concerned sectors including the staffers of the Corporation to serve the Corporation honestly. Tamang recalled that the NAC holds a glorious history and thus asked all to serve the Corporation to achieve the goals of progress and prosperity.

Executive chairman of the Corporation, Ubraj Adhoikari, urged all the NAC staffers to accomplish national responsibility by extending service unitedly.

This year, the Corporation observed its Anniversary simply and economically.

Minister Tamang then launched a walk-a-thone extending good wishes for the Corporation’s progress and prosperity.

The walk-a-thon started from the Corporation’s headquarters at New Road, made a circle via New Road, Bhotahitty, Bhadrakali, Martyrs’ Gate and ended at the NAC headquarters premises.

Yubraj Adhikari, executive chairman of the Corporation, extended thanks to all the participants attending the anniversary function.

The Corporation organized various programs including free health check-ups, a blood donation program, and different sports events.
