Kathmandu, May 28: The nation is observing the republic day by organizing different programs, unfortunately, there is no enthusiasm among the people as the nation has lost its glory, there is rampant foreign intervention, there is an end to the rule of law, and the nation’s economy is on the verge of collapse.
There is no people’s trust in the political parties, political leaders are practising kleptocracy, political parties are acting beyond their political ideology and the level of frustration among the people is on the rise. In conclusion, we are practising banana republicanism.
A few days ago, we saw a human sea appeared to greet the deposed king in Lalitpur. We saw a similar crowd in Bhaktapur. Both cities are highly dominated by the core Newar population. They were lauding for return of the monarchy to save the nation.

The situation is that those political leaders cannot roam around without strong security, whereas, the deposed king is roaming around and mingling with the people everywhere.
