PM Dahal prepares to face vote of confidence on May 20

Kathmandu, May 17: Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal is preparing to face a vote of confidence on May 20.

After Upendra Yadav led Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal ousted from the government, PM Dahal wished to take a vote of confidence according to the constitutional provision.

PM Dahal has already informed Speaker Devraj Ghimire. The Prime Minister’s Office has written a letter to the Secretariat of the House of Representatives to enlist the confidence motion for May 20 at the Parliament’s program.

The PM needs 138 votes to show the Parliament’s confidence in him. This is the fourth time the PM has faced a vote of confidence since he became the Prime Minister.
