NC not to allow the President to present policies and programs

Kathmandu, May 13: The main opposition party Nepali Congress has decided to continue the ongoing obstruction in the Parliament until a parliamentary inquiry committee is formed into the cooperative fraud case.

On Monday, the functionaries’ meeting held at Speaker Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence, Budhanilkanth, decided to continue the obstruction of the House until their demands are met.

President Ramchandra Paudel is scheduled to present policies and programs at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament. A meeting of Parliament has been called for that at 3 pm. However, spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat informed that the Congress has concluded that it will not even present the House meeting presenting the policies and programs of the government.
