
Kathmandu, May 10: The Kailali border with India will be closed from this evening. All the border crossings in the district are going to be closed for the election of Lok Sabha members being held in India.
Shivraj Joshi, Information Officer of the District Administration Office, Kailali, informed that the borders are going to be closed given the Lok Sabha general elections to be held in the Khiri district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
Lok Sabha general election is going to be held in Khiri on Baisakh 31, there has been a correspondence from the Indian side stating that the Nepal-India international border crossing will remain closed until the polls are over, he said, ‘Given the said election, today (Friday) from 6 pm till the polling is over on Baisakh 31. The border will be closed.’
