The pro-Bhattarai dissident MPs met yesterday at MP Dhundiraj Shastri’s residence to thrash out new moves aimed at removing Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
A tactic approved was that they would see that bills are not passed in parliament, according to a prominent MP who participated in the meeting. However, Congress sources close to the dissidents said that the rebels would try to meet the Prime Minister for the last time chance again.
The MP said that the rebels firmly stuck to their position that the Prime Minister should resign. When contacted for details of the meeting, MPs Taranath Ranabhat and Chhabi Prasad Devkota, refused to reveal anything.
