Kathmandu, May 3: Former general secretary of the Nepali Congress Dr. Shashank Koirala has claimed that party president Sher Bahadur Deuba may soon become the Prime Minister. Addressing the program of the Nepal Democratic Sports Association on Friday, Koirala asked Deuba to prioritize sports when he becomes the Prime Minister.
Stating that the Nepalese have demonstrated good skills in mechanical sports, Koirala said, “Being a poor country, we could not give that much priority to sports.” Sports are an important part of life. We should give importance to it. I want to say to the honorable chairman, you express your desire, you will become the prime minister in the coming days. Please keep the game as a priority.
