Kathmandu, April 23: The security of the Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will be commanded by the Nepali Army.
According to provisions in the Special Person Protection Procedure, 2077, the Emir of Qatar is going to be provided with a very special level (A category) security under the command of the army.
A team will be deployed from the Army’s highly specialized personnel security directorate for close security of special persons.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department will be deployed for external security. During the ride on the road of Emir Sheikh of Qatar, there will be a police warning motorcycle, a police lead jeep, 18 out riders, special people, special people’s rear car, again out riders and a backup car.
The Emir is arriving in Kathmandu this afternoon for a state visit and leaving for Qatar tomorrow afternoon.
