Kathmandu, April 19: Hasina Khan, who has become a proportional member of parliament from Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), has taken the oath of office and secrecy as a member of the House of Representatives. Khan was sworn in as a member of the HoR by Speaker Devraj Ghimire at Singh Darbar today.
After the death of MP Manju Sharma Ansari, JSP recommended the name of 27-year-old Khan for the vacant post. Sharma passed away on Chait 4, 2080.
Earlier, Shehnaz Rahman, who became a proportional member of parliament from JSP, passed away on Falgun 13, 2079 and Manju was nominated as a member of parliament. She also passed away and Khan was named as the MP to that vacant post.
