Kathmandu, March 29: The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has named Lakshmi Gurung as its candidate for Ilam-2 by-election. RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha informed that Gurung was named as the candidate at the party’s parliamentary committee meeting held on Thursday.
After the death of CPN-UML vice-chairman Subash Chandra Nemwang, who was elected from the constituency, a by-election is going to be held there on 15 Baisakh. CPN-UML has named Nemwang’s son Suhang as a candidate.
The Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, among others, have decided to give candidates but have not yet named their candidates.
