Kathmandu, March 10: The Sungava Support Group in Australia and Switzerland has donated an e-van for transporting students at the Sungava Homes in Swoyambhu, Kathmandu.
Rod Setterlund, president, Nepal-Australia Friendship Association, Ms Deb Setterlund, Ms Wendy Estnell, David Brown, Bijaya Rajbhandari, Ms Kristyan Dill, Sahanshila of the Sungava Support Group, Abrun, Sydney, Ms Dlaya from the Fir Aid Foundation, and other members of the Sungava Support Group were present during the van handover ceremony that took place on March 8, coinciding the International Women’s Day.
The Sungava Homes family extended thanks for long-awaited support from the Sungava Support Group abroad. The Sungava Homes is the Lachana Society to uplift intellectually disabled girls and women.
The support will tremendously help in carrying students to the school from their homes, said the Sungava family.
