Daughter’s Metropolitan City

BABBLES

By Babbler

Mayor Harka Sampang observed Dharan Day coinciding with the founding of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City. He had invited the Prime Minister, but the latter was absent there.

Mayor Renu Dahal of the Bharatpur Metropolitan City observed the inauguration ceremony of the Chitwan Visit Year. On this occasion, the PM was not only present, but he also reached Chitwan one day earlier. Besides, five former prime ministers attended the inaugural ceremony.

We are aware that Bharatpur Mayor is the daughter of Prime Minister Dahal. Therefore, all the former prime ministers felt that it was the daughter’s metropolitan city.

We can imagine, how free are our leaders.

Dahal betrays him

The Nepali Congress president and former prime minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, was the prime minister in waiting. He was eagerly waiting for his sixth term to become PM. Unfortunately, on Monday morning, he got an unexpected reply from PM Dahal that he had ended the partnership with the NC.

Deuba, to save the NC-Maoist Center partnership, told Dahal he was ready to call back all the NC ministers; he was even ready to give the NC chair to the Maoists; and also ready to extend the tenure of Dahal as the PM.

Dahal said to Deuba, “Sorry, it is too late now!”

Finally, Deuba returned empty-handed from Baluatar.

At his residence in Budhanilkantha, Deuba remarked, “He (Dahal) betrayed me, he is not a trustworthy person.”

Better late than never, Deuba understood that Dahal was not a trustworthy person!

Course correction

A coalition government was formed under the NC leadership following the Supreme Court verdict against K.P. Sharma Oli’s move to go for a mid-term election. During that time, Oli was alleged to be a “regressive element”. Following Oli’s move, the UML party was split.

Today, they all are together with Oli. The fact is that Dahal is the PM but Oli is holding the remote control.

After all, politics is a dirty game.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

This system is not for opening factories in the country to increase production and provide jobs to unemployed youth. It is all about exploiting the state coffer and feeding party workers to prolong one’s tenure. This is called neo-feudalism.

Dipak Gyawali

India always wants to colonize Nepal. Nepal’s political parties also follow their wishes. This is also due to open borders. Even now, Nepal’s political parties have a tradition of “dancing to the tune of those who fund them”.

Narayanman Bijukche

The incumbent minister waved the flag and went to the CIAA to make a statement about corruption. The proof of financial irregularities of the incumbent Chief Secretary has come out. The minister was found guilty by his own commission. Finding morality in Nepal is more difficult than searching for pearls in the ocean.

Muma Ram Khanal

America, Europe, and India want to end Nepal through a conflict among the citizens based on caste, language, religion, gender, and region. MCC is their joint mission.

Their common enemy is China. To bring down China, they have to eliminate Nepal, otherwise, the mission is impossible.

Sarbesh Aryal

In the last seven days, I visited six or seven friends’ houses. Surprisingly, I saw pictures of King Birendra and King Gyanendra, including the members of the Royal Family. I didn’t see the photos of the Prime Minister and the President.

The boys who came to school after the winter vacation counted the number they learned at home:

“One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, Jack, Queen, and King!

Babu Lal Bhandari

The news with evidence about Chief Secretary Aryal is scattered. In this case, the government should consider the impact on governance when it is involved in administrative decisions. Just say to those who walk with Budhanilkanthka on their shoulders, which will lead to corruption and unhappiness like many in Nepal.

The People’s Movement of 1990 was a movement of the people of Nepal. Whether it was the plains, whether it was the mountains, or whether it was Kathmandu Valley, it was nationwide. India supported it. However, King Birendra rejected India’s secret proposal and agreed with the people of Nepal.

Kamal Koirala

I heard today a speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs: “Nepal needs more external financial assistance until it is upgraded from a least developed country”.

Will it be possible to become rich by begging with others? We should stand on our own feet, increase competitiveness, increase exports and bring in more foreign investment!

Madhu Raman Acharya

Political and ideological murder of BP, Ganeshman Singh, and Kisunji has been done by Girija Prasad’s Congress.

P.L. Singh

It is odd to listen to the PM’s speech on good governance by carrying the ministers who are found guilty by the government commission.
