Kathmandu, March 4: Newly elected 19 members of the National Assembly have taken the oath of office and secrecy today.National Assembly Deputy Speaker Urmila Aryal administered the oath of office and secrecy to 19 newly elected MPs in a program held at the Lohotse Hall of the Federal Parliament Building.Since 12 O’clock on Sunday night, 20 members of Parliament, including Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, who have completed their 6-year tenure, have been retired.Out of the 20 vacant positions, 19 were elected in the election held on January 25, while one is yet to be appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
