Kathmandu, February 29: Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma Prabhakar, who had registered a written dissent in the party assembly recently, has expressed dissatisfaction with the latest decision of the CPN-Maoist Centre, has said that now there is no choice but to proceed unperturbed.
Sharma has strongly criticized Maoist Center chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal after the latter assigned his brother Narayan Dahal and daughter-in-law Bina Magar as co-in-charges of the provinces.
Deputy General Secretary Sharma commented that nepotism was imposed in the party by removing himself and another Deputy General Secretary Barshman Pun Anant and standing committee member Khagraj Bhatt.
He also criticized the leadership through social media on Thursday, saying that the rule that Party chair Dahal’s relatives were not bound by, was imposed only on them.
He said that in the meeting of the Maoist Standing Committee, he raised the issue for the institutional interest by determining the need to hold a personal opinion in favor of party reform on some important issues.
Sharma has also said that the statute drafted by the party’s legislative conference should not be retained, but that a strong party can be built with qualitative reforms and implementation accordingly.
Sharma has said that he is still adamant that there should be a fair and bias-free division of duties of leaders and workers with internal democracy in the party.
