Kathmandu, February 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that homework is being done by Prime Ministers from both countries – Nepal and India – for receiving the report prepared by the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) represented by the countries formed to review the treaty agreement between Nepal and India.
In the meeting of the National Affairs and Coordination Committee of the National Assembly held on Wednesday, Prime Minister Dahal informed that internal preparations have been made so that both countries would receive the report at the same time. He also clarified that Nepal will have to decide if India doesn’t receive the report.
Prime Minister Dahal said that his emphasis is on strengthening federalism by passing the Federal Civil Code, which will be submitted to the House within a few days.
Similarly, he said that the process of seeking consent for the acquisition of land in the Khokna area of the departure point of the Terai-Madhes Expressway is underway. He said that out of a total 24 projects of national pride, three have been completed, and the construction of others is also going on rapidly.
