Kathmandu, February 26: The senior leader of the Democratic Socialist Party (LSP), Rajendra Mahato, has quit the party. Mahato has announced a campaign called ‘National Liberation Revolution’ along with Buddhchiring Moktan, who advocates for the rights of tribals.
Mahato announced that he had quit LSP in a press conference on Monday. He requested that those who are advocating for multinational identity join a new party led by him.
LSP’s senior leader, Mahato, was dissatisfied with the party. He was dissatisfied with the nomination of officebearers made by Chairman Mahant Thakur, he also boycotted the central committee meeting.
He then left for Delhi for consultation. After his return from Delhi, he announced a struggle for a multinational identity.
