Kathmandu, February 25: The Immigration Department has started issuing route permits to travel to the restricted zones online for Nepalis and foreigners.
Under the initiative of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal, the Department has started issuing route permits for travellers going to restricted zones.
Earlier, the Department was issuing such a permit only by producing written documents to it.
Along with the introduction of the Online service, it has become easy to get a permit for travellers going to the Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpa, Manaslu Area in Gorkha, including Chum Valley, Nubri Valley, Simikot in Humal, Chankheli and Namkha and Kanchanjanga Area in Taplejung, which the government has declared a restricted area.
