Kathmandu (RSS): Prime Minister Manmohan Adhikari has said that SAARC should move to face various challenges ahead, go beyond economics, and create an opportunity to discuss bilateral and political issues.
Prime Minister Adhikari said this in his address to the eighth summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in New Delhi on Tuesday.
He expressed the belief that the increasingly unequal economic progress arises out of a faulty system, not out of any scarcity of natural and human resources.
Other than liberalization of trade, SAARC may reasonably look to harness and exploit the vast resources of the region for natural benefit, he observed that by properly exploiting water resources, Nepal can contribute a lot to the development of the whole region.
