A defiant Girija Prasad Koirala went to a three-member panel investigating the Dhamija affair on Monday and challenged its authority and legality to conduct an independent and fair probe.
The administrative commission chaired by Gajendra Mani Pradhan empowered by the government to investigate the deal had summoned the former prime minister. His daughter Sujata Koirala Jots and her German husband have also been called to the commission.
“I need not have come here today. I came from the people. I came to go the people,” Koirala told newspersons at the RNAC headquarters where the commission is housed.
