
Kathmandu, 16 April: The meeting among the three senior leaders of the major political parties scheduled to discuss the Truth And Reconciliation Bill, which is under consideration in Parliament, has been postponed today.
Three leaders – Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal, Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba and speaker Devraj Ghimire were scheduled to attend a meeting at 9 am today at Balkot, UML chair K.P. Sharma Oli’s private residence.
The meeting was organized for developing consensus among the leaders of the big parties on the TRC bill.
Speaker Ghimire reached Balkot on time but PM Dahal and NC president Deuba remained absent, due to which, the meeting was cancelled.
PM Dahal informed that he was unable to attend the meeting at 9 am. NC President Deuba also didn’t attend the meeting after he was informed that PM Dahal was not attending the meeting.
