Garbage remains unpicked for 8th consecutive day

Kathmandu, 16 April: Trashes at the Singha Durbar, the Sheetal Niwas and residence of the Prime Minister remained unpicked for the eighth consecutive day on instruction of Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balen Sah.

Manager of Paribartan Nepal, that picks garbage from the Singha Durbar, Mitra Ghimire told that garbage remained unpicked even on Sunday due to instruction of Mayor Sah. “We cannot pick garbage until instructed by the KMC to do so,” Ghimire stated, adding “We can’t pick up garbage until Mayor says, “He has verbally given a clear instruction that he will cancel the license if we collect garbage.”
