‘Younger generation is increasingly dissatisfied with the existing system of governance’

Kathmandu, 14 April: Former King Gyanendra Shah has said that the youths are getting dissatisfied with the existing governance system, government activities and they have started to show extreme rebelliousness due to the futile efforts of more than three decades.

On Thursday, issuing a message on the occasion of New Year 2080, he said that the country has suffered a lot due to the weakness of various machineries of the country knowingly or unknowingly in recent decades.

“The financial transactions of our government-funded and run financial institutions are not for the upliftment of the poor. It is a common rumor that its benefits have been reduced only to limited individuals and small circle of families. It is natural that problems and anger among the public will increase if proper attention is not paid to production, acquisition and proper distribution,” the Ex- King  said.

Former King Shah urged everyone to understand the Nepali soil, the nature of Nepal, the original culture of Nepal and the hope and realization of the common Nepalis to move forward, and wished everyone a sense of forgiveness for the shortcomings of the past.
