Kathmandu, 11 April: The Commission the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA)has started an investigation into the audio dialogue between Rashtriya Swatantra Party’s lawmaker Dhakakumar Shrestha and medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai. The audio of Shrestha asking Prasai to pay the amount was released saying that the core team of the party asked for Rs 20 million to become health minister.
Prasain, the owner of B&C Hospital in Birtamod, Jhapa, has been not been able to take forward his medical college project and Rs140 million claimed by his hospital through treatment insurance has not been paid. Kapoorbot TV released the audio of Shrestha asking for a bribe saying that he would do Prasain’s work and build the country together. After the public debate about this audio CIAA started the investigation, reports eknitpur.com.
