
Kathmandu, 11 April: the bills related to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (Third Amendment) and Prevention of Corruption (First Amendment) have been unanimously passed by the National Assembly. On behalf of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Dr. Veduram Bhusal proposed that both bills be passed. It was unanimously approved by the assembly. Both those bills will be sent to the House of Representatives for final approval.
The proposal to discuss the Commission on Abuse of Authority (Third Amendment) Bill and Prevention of Corruption (First Amendment) Bill 2076 along with the report of the Legislation Management Committee were approved unanimously.
Answering the questions raised by the members during the discussion on the proposal, Minister Bhusal said that the proposal passed by the National Assembly and sent to the lower house will be enriched through discussion in the House of Representatives. Earlier, members Jitendra Narayan Dev, Dr. Vimala Rai, Suresh Alemgar and Ramchandra Rai participated in the discussion on the proposal.
