DPM Shrestha replies to KMC Mayor: We’re ready to cooperate for your justified works

Kathmandu, 10 April: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha has said that the incumbent government was ready to cooperate and coordinate with all those who come with due procedural process and their works are justified .

While talking to journalists in Chitwan this afternoon, Minister Shrestha  said this after the mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, Balendra Sah, accused the federal government of not helping the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).The Home Minister said that the federal government was ready to do every work that is justified.

“The federal government is committed to help fulfill the responsibilities given by the constitution by coordinating with the province government and local government. The local or province government does not give  prior information  as prescribed in relevant regulation, request  for the use of force at the eleventh hour,”  Shrestha said adding that if the local government can do the work on its own, the federal government will not interfere, but if it needs help, it should come forward fulfilling all due processes.
