Kathmandu, 9 April: Half a dozen neighboring houses have been subsided due to the under-construction luxury apartment of dollar-billionaire Binod Chaudhary.
The construction allegedly started without duly endorsing the site map and other procedural works from relevant agencies. Two houses have been destroyed during the digging of the foundation of Summit Apartment, which was built at the location of Hotel Summit in Bakhundol, Lalitpur. The ground floor of a six-storey house has sank away, while half a dozen more houses have been damaged.
Furious locals protested against the illegal construction and have demanded compensation for the damage of their private property. Security personnel have been mobilized in the area to avoid confrontation.
