Police nab Tibetan woman with Nepali citizenship

Kathmandu, 8 April: Police have arrested a Tibetan refugee with a Nepali citizenship.

Police arrested 27-year-old Nima Lhamo Gurung after being tipped-off that she obtained a citizenship  from District Administration Office, Kathmandu by presenting a fake father. She was nabbed from Tusal camp of Buddhists, close to Bouddhanath Stupa-UNESCO, World Heritage Site.  Police said that she came to Kathmandu two years ago from Tibet via  Bihar from New Delhi.

It may be noted that recently  the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office had arrested six people on charge of providing citizenship  to Tibetans by submitting fake documents.
