Nepal becomes Vice-President of Asia-Pacific UNESCO Clubs

Kathmandu, 3 April: Nepal has been elected to the post of Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations (AFUCA). Nepal has been unanimously elected to the post in the 26th general session of the AFUCA held in Kazakhstan’s capital city Almaty on Sunday.

Among the 12 countries of the Asia-Pacific region attending the general assembly, Nepal and Vietnam had registered their candidacies for the post and both countries were elected to the post unanimously, according to reports.  South Korea has been elected the chair of the AFUCA beating Philippines in the voting.
