Ruling coalition meeting to finalize Cabinet  expansion

Kathmandu, 28 March: The meeting of the ruling coalition is being held today to give full shape to Cabinet. The meeting has been called for 4 pm.

A meeting was held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday. In the meeting the trio had agreed to call a meeting of the leaders of the parties affiliated to the alliance  for Tuesday.  Prime Minister Dahal, through this meeting, is preparing to decide on the expansion of the Cabinet as announced on Monday.

Initially Dahal had planned to expand the Cabinet only after the publication of Common Minimum  Programme of the government  but he is in such pressure that he is overburdened by shouldering the portfolio of 16 ministries.

Meanwhile, a close aide of Dahal has said that he will expand his Cabinet by Wednesday, if not today.
