Kathmandu, 26 March: Nepali Congress vice president Purna Bahadur Khadka is likely to lead the Nepali Congress team in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal.
The Saturday meeting of the NC office bearers held at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Dhumbaharai decided to send an eight-member team to the government under vice president Khadka.
As Unified Socialist Party has demanded three ministries, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party has demanded two ministries and the Rastriya Swatantra Party led by Rabi Lamhchhane has expressed the desire for joining the government without the Home portfolio, PM Dahal is under pressure for adjusting small parties, said a source.
Meanwhile, NC president Deuba is also facing pressure in adjusting different camps within the party in representing the government.
