A claims petition has been filed to the World Bank against the Arun III project by Gopal Sivakoti and Ganesh Kumar Ghimire of Arun Concern Group.
The petitioners have asserted that they have been indirectly affected by the project. In addition, they are also representing two anonymous who claim themselves to be directly affected by the project.
It is learnt that to file such a petition with the inspection panel of the World Bank under clause 4 of the operating procedure of the panel, claimants should be directly, materially bank’s violation of their rights and interests.
