
Kathmandu, 18 March: Indian President Droupadi Murmu spoke with President Ram Chandra Paudel. President Murmi congratulated Paudel on being elected the President of Nepal and also extended best wishes for his successful tenure as the Head-of-the-State. In the telephonic conversation, President Murmu expressed happiness on the election of Paudel having consistent struggle and contributions to the democratic movement of Nepal as the President.
Both the Presidents shared common view that Nepal and India have a very close and cordial relations with century-old cultural, religious and geographical proximities. They also expressed the confidence that the persisting bilateral relations would further grow in the days to come.
President Paudel had extended invitation to his Indian counterpart Murmu to visit Nepal, according to Paudel’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Suresh Chalise.
