Kathmandu, 18 March: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)has objected that the Transitional Justice Amendment Bill is about to be ratified without discussion in the Parliament. The NHRC has appealed to the government and the parties to have a sufficient discussion on the amendment bill of the Commission for Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation of Disappeared Persons by forming a subject committee in the Parliament.
The bill is scheduled to be submitted to the House of Representatives on tomorrow. The NHRC has remined the government to listen the call and concern of the victims, the international community and the Supreme Court to proceed with credible way with regard to the transitional justice amendment bill.
