Kathmandu, 16 March: The Nepal Revolutionary Peasants’ Association, a sister organization of the Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party organized a demonstration today in Kathmandu protesting against the government’s decision for reducing subsidy on chemical fertilizers which has caused an incline on the market price of fertilizers.
The demonstration programme led by provincial assembly member Gobindaraj Gosai was participated by hundreds of demonstrators. They had carried play cards with slogans against the USA and India.
The protestors had demanded the scrapping of the 1950 Treaty designed for keeping Nepal under the Indian security umbrella; condemning those anti-nationals who are backing MCC; condemning imperialist Americans, among others.
The demonstration rally started from Sundhara made a circle to New Road, Asna and concluded at Ratnapark, according to the Jana Aastha Online portal.
