Kathmandu, 11 March: Four candidates have registered their nominations for the post of Vice- President. The CPN (UML) has fielded Astalaxmi Shakya for the position while three candidates from the 10-party alliance registered their nominations. The alliance-backed candidates are Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav and Pramila Yadav, both from the Janata Samajwadi Party, and Mamata Jha from the Janamat Party. The vice presidential election is taking place on March 17.
