An agreement has been signed between the Nepalese delegation and the officials of the Lhasa-based Bank of China for conducting trade between Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China through letters of credit.
The agreement was signed by leader of the Nepalese delegation and executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank Bharat Krishna Sharma on behalf of Nepal and general manager of Lhasa-based Bank of China Madame Qiong Zhuoma on behalf of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China.
The letters of credit will be exchanged between Nepal Bank Limited and Bank of China under the agreement from January 1, 1995, onwards.
