The Nepali Congress Party predicted by most of the impartial political observers to loss the November 15 elections, is desperate. The caretaker Prime Minister, Giriga Prasad Koirala, taking full advantage of the government machinery and public funds, has hit the campaign trail. Koirala who ordered the mid-term polls is desperate and his gamble might not pay off, according to president indications.
Reports quoting “intelligence” sources have put the maximum number of seats for the Nepali Congress at 70 and the lower figure is as low as 40.
The caretaker Prime Minister’s desperation is, therefore, quite understandable and despite the three and half years of mal-governance by the Nepali Congress, the Prime Minister is asking the people to vote the party back to power.
