
Kathmandu, 25 February: With the decision of the CPN-Maoist Center, which is leading the government, to support the Nepali Congress candidate in the presidential election, the coalition formed on December 25 has collapsed and a new alliance of 8 parties has been formed.
According to Baluwatar sources, an agreement has been reached between Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal, CPN-US Chair Madhav Nepal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to take turns as Prime Minister. The three leaders who contested together in the November 20 elections will lead the government turn-by-turn. (Deuba and Dahal two-year each and Nepal remaining one-year). It has also been agreed that Janta Samjbadi Party will get the Vice President and the Maoists will get the Chair of the National Assembly.
