Kathmandu, 23 February: Tibetan refugees sheltered in Nepal observed the Tibetan Lhosar (new year) this morning at the open space in Jawalakhel, near the Tibetan Refugee Camp.
The programme was organized by inviting a limited number of the Tibetan Community and representatives from the diplomatic community in Kathmandu. The main organiser had placed images of the Dalai Lama at the function.
American ambassador D.R. Thompson, Australian ambassador Felicity Volk and Swiss ambassador Elisabeth von Capeller and some representatives from the different diplomatic communities attended the function, reports Annapurna Post daily.
