Kathmandu, 13 February: According to the American Embassy in Kathmandu, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs arrived in Kathmandu this afternoon. During the visit, she is scheduled to hold meetings with the Nepali Army and government officials along with partners of ISIMOD and Urja Nepal in Kathmandu.
During the meeting, she will discuss the issues of climate change, clean energy, humanitarian aid and disaster response, as well as promoting democracy, human rights and mutual economic prosperity, according to the embassy.
She is leaving Kathmandu on Tuesday.
