
Kathmandu, 13 February: A meeting of Nepal-India Energy Secretary-Level Joint Steering Committee is scheduled to take place in India on February 17-18.
According to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, the tenth meeting of the Committee is taking place in India capital followed by the Joint Steering Committee Meeting on February 18. Energy cooperation, trans-nation power trade and infrastructure development for cross-border transmission lines are prominent agenda of the meeting.
Exporting additional power from the Dhalkebar-Muzaffarpur 400 kV trans-border transmission line is one of the agendas of the meeting. The meet will dwell upon the 400 KV-New Butwal-Gorakhpur, the Duhabi-Purniya and the Lamki-Bareli cross-border transmission lines.
