Govt ready to review President’s conveyance

Kathmandu, 13 February: Following widespread criticism not only in the streets, mainstream and social media but also in the parliament about royal style conveyance of President of Federal Republic of Nepal, the government has expressed its readiness to revise the existing procedures relating to VVIPs and VIPs conveyance.

Thanks to the doctors associated with Nepal Medical Association (NMA)-NMA on Sunday paused services except for the emergency  in protest of the beating of a doctor of the National Trauma Center by the police for walking during President Bidya Devi Bhandri’s conveyance on Friday afternoon.

After the negotiation with the NMA, a six -point agreement  was signed in which the government vowed to review the provisions related to the security of VVIPs and VIPs and their conveyance.
